Il progetto Aut nasce verso la fine del 1993.
Abbandonate le cover, che compongono, in un primo momento, il repertorio, il gruppo realizza “Teatro dei Sogni”, contenente quattro brani originali, con sonorità principalmente influenzate dai King Crimson.
Il cammino e la ricera musicali portano gli Aut ad una composizione in bilico tra atmosfere ambient e canzone d´autore. Il demotape del 1996, “demomillenovecento96”, segna una svolta nelle sonorità del gruppo.
Nel 1997 gli Aut vincono la quinta edizione di “Ritmi Globali”, partecipando con “Niente è uguale a niente” e “Ho perso lei”, all´omonima compilation.
Tra il 1997 e il 1998 gli Aut registrano presso “Le Vie dei Canti” alcuni brani, per i quali Andrea Chimenti presta la sua collaborazione per la produzione artistica.
Dopo alcuni anni impiegati nella ricerca sonora e nella composizione di nuovi brani, gli Aut iniziano la lavorazione del loro primo album con la produzione artistica di Andrea Chimenti e Matteo Buzzanca.
The Aut’s plan was born in late 1993.
Then, the band realized “Teatro dei Sogni”, a demo-tape with four original songs, influenced by King Crimson sounds.
The way and the music pursuit undertaken, lead Aut to a music between ambient music and composers songs. The 1996 demo-tape, “demomillenovecento96”, change completely the band sounds.
In 1997 Aut won the fifth edition of “Ritmi Globali” and partecipated, with “Niente è uguale a niente” and “Ho perso lei”, to the event compilation.
Between 1997 and 1998 Aut recorded some songs with the help of Andrea Chimenti for the artistic production.
After a few years spent in sound research and new songs composition, Aut start to work on their first album with the artistic production of Andrea Chimenti and Matteo Buzzanca.
